Agra Metro was built with tourism at its heart, giving the City of the Taj a clean, modern way to move between its great Mughal monuments. Run by UPMRC, the operational stretch of its Yellow Line links Mankameshwar near the old city, by Jama Masjid, through underground stations serving the Taj Mahal and Agra's heritage core, then rises onto an elevated viaduct out to Taj East Gate — the closest station to the monument's eastern entrance. For visitors and residents alike, it offers an eco-friendly, traffic-free way to reach the Taj Mahal and the surrounding sites.
